Wilkinson 1821 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Pattern Officer's Sword 35862 to The Hon. Charles Cavendish 17th Lancers 1898

This 35 1/8th inch sword is the 1821 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Sword. This was originally ordered by Thomas Kincaid-Smith 9th Lancers, but being ordered on secondment to the Colonial office in 1898, cancelled the order and the sword was subsequently resold to Charles Cavendish on 23rd May 1898.
